1 Beyond and Sanbolic Join Forces to Integrate and Market High-End SAN Solutions for Broadcast, Film and Video Content Creation
Harmony HD SAN Showcased at NAB at 1 Beyond’s Booth (#3716)

Las Vegas, Nevada, April 16, 2004 -- 1 Beyond, Inc., a leading provider of digital video editing and compositing systems and Sanbolic Inc. developer and manufacturer of storage area network (SAN) software for shared storage solutions, today announced that they have joined forces to integrate, test, certify and market powerful yet affordable shared SAN solutions, designed specifically for the broadcast, film, video, post production and content creation industries.

This partnership agreement is the culmination of several months of close collaboration between the two companies, leading to the completion of the recently-announced 1 Beyond Harmony™, a SAN solution powered by Sanbolic’s shared file system, Melio FS™ and LaScala™, Sanbolic’s clustered volume management software. Harmony is the industry’s first shared SAN capable of supporting multiple streams (from 2 to 32 editing, compositing and on-air systems) at full resolution 10-bit uncompressed high definition (HD) video, all at RAID 3 protected shared storage.
