Sanbolic Demonstrating Shared SAN for Matrox Axio
Shared SAN provides workflow for high definition Matrox Axio editors in workgroup environments

Las Vegas, NV April 24, 2006 – Sanbolic, Inc., a leading developer of software to simplify and share SAN storage, today announced the support for Matrox Axio editors in a shared SAN environment. Sanbolic will showcase the solution with storage hardware partners in IBM Booth #SU2976 and Nexsan Booth #C11332 at NAB at the Las Vegas Convention Center this week.

Matrox Axio provides a real time multi-stream HD editing platform that gives users high quality HD finishing capability with Adobe Premiere Pro. When used with Sanbolic’s shared file system Melio FS, multiple Axio editors can have concurrent read and write access to shared content on SAN storage. This eliminates the need to move content among editing workstations, and improves workflow in workgroup finishing environments. Sanbolic’s volume manager LaScala allows editors access to content to be assigned centrally, and it efficiently aggregates bandwidth from multiple storage arrays to meet the needs of demanding uncompressed HD formats. Melio also allows bandwidth
access priority to be assigned to selected workstations.
