Sanbolic Announces Adaptec Product Support
Sanbolic software Kayo compatible with Adaptec Host Bus Adapters

Watertown, MA, August 31, 2001 - Sanbolic, Inc. a developer of storage area network (SAN) software that provides volume sharing for enhanced intraSAN communication today announced that its software is fully compatible with Adaptec, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADPT), Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs). The testing has been completed successfully and Adaptec's HBAs have been added to the list of adapters that can be selected in Kayo's interface.

Kayo is a transparent SAN solution using NTFS, which allows SAN users to read and write to the shared volumes on the centralized storage. The data is transferred from the storage to the server or client workstation over the Fibre Channel network while only command and control communication is transferred over TCP/IP. The automatic refresh functionality updates all Kayo users when a change is made to a volume.
