ATTO Technology Certifies Sanbolic LaScala Volume Manager
Provides complete SAN solution that enables collaboration on video projects

Amherst, NY (April 24, 2006) – ATTO Technology Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, and Sanbolic, Inc., a leading developer of software to simplify and share SAN storage, announced today the completion of product certification of ATTO’s Celerity Host Adapter, iPBridge™, FibreBridge™ and FastStream™ Storage Appliance product lines with Sanbolic’s LaScala volume manager software.

The combination of ATTO’s hardware and Sanbolic’s software provides customers with an easy-to-use certified and interoperable SAN solution that enables multiple editors to work on a project simultaneously, reducing the time to completion, simplifying project management and increasing data availability.

LaScala™ is a host-based volume manager that simplifies the management and improves the flexibility and reliability of shared storage environments. Volumes can be created, resized, assigned, and reassigned to servers dynamically. When combined with ATTO Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage infrastructure products, users can easily build interoperable Storage Area Networks that will immediately improve the workflow. The combined solution provides customers with a best-of-breed solution for their storage area networking needs, especially in work situations where access time is key to maintaining rigorous production schedules.
