Sanbolic’s products have been designed
expressly for storage environments using SAN storage and enable
customers to easily manage networked storage as a single pool of
data that can be accessed by multiple servers concurrently, greatly
reducing complexity and giving users much more flexibility in how
they can access their data. The design point for these products
was a large telecom network operation center application running
multiple operating systems. The product architecture has been designed
to support multiple operating systems and storage hardware platforms
in a very large environment demanding very high reliability. Even
with their extensive capabilities, our products are exceptionally
easy to install and use.
Melio FS
Melio FS is an object-based symmetrical clustered
file system designed for enterprise and high performance storage
environments. Melio FS includes journaling for fast recovery, advanced
locking mechanisms for file sharing, and innovative design for fast
access to files. The current version supports Windows 2000, XP,
and 2003, and is compatible with block storage transport including
Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and SCSI. Windows technologies such as Active
Directory, ACL security, DFS, Network Load Balancing, and MPIO are
transparently supported by Melio within a shared storage environment.
LaScala Volume Manager Software
LaScala is a clustered volume manager which simplifies management
and improves flexibility and reliability of shared storage environments.
It enables management of very large disk sets across heterogeneous
storage arrays from multiple servers, and supports centralized and
remote management, disk groups, and dynamic online volume creation
and growth. It is fully compatible with native OS file systems.
The current version supports Windows 2000, XP, and 2003, and is
compatible with block storage transport including Fibre Channel,
iSCSI, and SCSI. Windows technologies such as Active Directory,
ACL security, DFS, Network Load Balancing, and MPIO are transparently
supported by LaScala within a shared storage environment.
LaScala Disto
LaScala Disto is an add-on component to LaScala Volume Manager that
enables customers to remotely manage the volume structure for their
entire SAN. It also provides volume and mount point scalability
on top of existing LUNs, and support for Windows Volume Management
(LDM) volumes.
SILM
SILM is a standalone software product that automatically moves or copies files or volumes based on customer defined policies. As an example, an administrator could establish policies to copy any files created or modified in the past 4 hours to a backup volume, and to move any files not accessed in 30 days to secondary storage. SILM has universal connectivity support, allowing users to deploy it in mixed storage environments utilizing DAS, NAS, and SAN storage. SILM supports both Microsoft and Sanbolic file systems. |
