Sanbolic Announces New Version of Melio FS Melio Clustered File System and Unveils New HD SAN Solution at IBC 2004
Company to Showcase Latest SAN Software Solutions With i3 Solutions on Stand #7.911

Watertown, MA, September 2, 2004 – At the upcoming IBC conference and exhibition (Amsterdam RAI, 10th-14th September 2004), Sanbolic Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of storage area network (SAN) software for shared storage solutions, announced today that it will be exhibiting its latest range of SAN software solutions on stand number 7.911 (opposite the Microsoft stand).

Supported by Dutch systems integrator i3 Solutions, Sanbolic will be showcasing the latest versions of its Melio FS™ Clustered File System and LaScala™ Clustered Volume Manager. Sanbolic and i3 Solutions will also unveil a new, highly affordable HD SAN solution targeted at broadcasters and post-production facilities of all sizes, looking for a scalable, high-performance yet affordable shared storage solution capable of handling the highest quality, full resolution HD as well as SD and DV formats.

Visitors to the Sanbolic/i3 Solutions stand will be able to see the newest version of Melio FS clustered file system used in combination with LaScala, Sanbolic’s volume manager. Sanbolic’s complete SAN solutions are compatible with products such as Bluefish HD, Adobe Premiere Pro, Harris Corporation - VelocityQ, Inscriber E-clips, Discreet Lustre, Pinnacle Liquid series and Avid Xpress, Media Composer and Adrenaline.

Melio FS version 1.5 adds several key features that further enhance its utility in building highly scalable and flexible Windows applications utilizing SAN storage. The new version now supports Windows iSCSI initiator, thereby increasing the options of using Melio FS in rendering farm environments; Windows 2003, Windows XP Service Pack 2, as well as Windows server authentication, and file and directory permissions.
